Our History
Founded in 2022, Transparent Trades, LLC is a woman- and minority-owned general contracting and MEP coordination firm serving the Virginia–DC–Maryland region.
Co-founders Patrick Petersen and Carolina Da Costa built the company on the belief that true quality starts with accountability.
By combining hands-on trade experience with executive-level project management and MEP oversight, Transparent Trades provides seamless, cost-efficient solutions across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general construction disciplines.
Carolina Da Costa, a Brazilian-American and U.S. citizen since 2024, continues to guide Transparent Trades as a majority owner, empowering the business to maintain its WMBE advantage and pursue government and corporate contracting opportunities.
Patrick Petersen contributes over two decades of experience in mechanical systems, general contracting, procurement, estimating, and executive operations, helping clients reduce costs, improve scheduling, and achieve lasting results.
